MINOR LEAGUE SPRING TRAINING CHARITY bowling tournaments
UMPS CARE Charities is once again teaming up with The Association of Minor League Umpires (AMLU) during Spring Training to raise funds and make a difference in communities across the country. The Minor League Baseball Umpires in Arizona and Florida host three bowling tournaments during Spring Training. These events are friendly competitions between crews as each team competes to be the top fundraisers and the top bowlers. Proceeds support UMPS CARE Charities programs throughout the year! Win-Win!
Proceeds from these events will help UMPS CARE provide the following in 2026:
VIP baseball experiences to at-risk youth, foster care children, critically ill kids and military families at Major League and Triple-A ballparks. For the second consecutive year, UMPS CARE will host 8-10 visits for groups in Class AA markets!
Education on and off the field for teens in under-resourced communities through our Official Leadership Program
UMPS CARE Charities started in 2006 through the compassion of the Major League Baseball Umpires, and it has created a movement of giving back at all levels of umpiring! Minor League Baseball Umpires are making a major impact at all 30 Triple-A ballparks in addition to Class AA ballparks!
