RUN FOR BEARS

UMPS CARE Charities is teaming up with US Foods to put together a Run for Bears in California. Employees from US Foods – San Diego, Los Angeles and Corona will raise funds and participate in the OC Fair Run in Costa Mesa, CA on Sunday, August 10th.  Team members will fundraise to help us to continue to provide memorable Build-A-Bear Workshop® experiences for children with cancer and other serious illnesses across the country.

A hospital stay can be a frightening time for children and their families. Major League Baseball umpires, sports team mascots, and professional sports photographers team up to host Build-A-Bear Workshop experiences at children’s hospitals. Hospitalized children make stuffed teddy bears, puppies or monkeys while sharing high-fives with the mascots. With your support, UMPS CARE Charities will host 14 children’s hospital events in 2018. Thanks to members of the US Foods team, UMPS CARE will host a visit at the children’s hospitals in San Diego, Anaheim and Los Angeles.
